Matthew is a smart cat boy in kindergarten who can already read well enough to tackle most grade-school chapter books. He's also very interested in areas of science, and unlike most kids tends to read non-fiction books related to areas he is interested, especially dinosaurs. He learns things fairly quickly, but because of this loses interest and motivation if he doesn't pick up a new skill right away.

He is somewhat introverted and a bit shy, and prefers to interact with people one at a time rather than in groups. Despite this, he has managed to make a handful of friends in his class who accept him for who he is.
Likes: Reading, drawing, dancing, board/card games.
Dislikes: Hot weather, cheese, loud noises, foods that get stuck in his teeth.
