This is an odd creature inspired by
x4
It's called a Ssilik [right now, anyway, accepting suggestions for names x3]
They typically dwell in sewers or any other conveniently dark place in towns, cities or villages. they live almost primarily on small animals and stray children. they stand a formidable 7 feet tall, but are almost always noncombatant.
They form tight-nit family groups that protect eachother, and will sometimes mate outside of species, if they have a desire too, or see a reason too [they DO have emotions, and are capable of feeling love]. Ssilik parenting is non-applicable to other races, and typically produces very good [if mentally... abnormal] rogues.
Ssiliks are any neutral.

I know it's a bit late, but I wouldn't suggest Sslik for a race name.
Istaria: The Chronicles of the Gifted (Formally known as Horizons: The Empire of Istaria) has had a reptilian race called 'Sslik' for five years now.

Just sayin'. =)

You've really upped the quality of your work in some of your recent submissions, and that's really nice to see. This especially has a lot of nice shading to it. Well, I suppose technically it's hatching but it works like shading and anyways I think it turned out very well. It's particularly appropriate for this since Ssiliks like dark places, this really works well with a dark and dank feel.
I also have to mention the muzzle, even if
Lunedragon already did, just because it looks so cool. It seems different from your usual ones, though, but being more narrow is very suited for the rat-like appearance. The teeth closing on the outside is a very neat touch too. The also has the same kind of fur effects around the face that I really like in your work, it does a great job in reinforcing the furry look.
Still has little feet, though. But I think that's just what digigrade paws may look like, I just don't get to see them often so my perspective may be skewed. I'd definitely encourage you to draw them, because they are very appropriate for a creature like this. And they look good with that nice, big tail too, that's nice pose work there.
It's neat to hear little bits about the species in your comments as well, I think you've got a nice creative look into the creature's lives. ^^
