Well, been thinking for many months about making a version of Brunder in an epic-fantasy environment. Thanks a lot to
for doing this a reality.
Originally i wanted him as a mage with a cloak and stuff, but then i said, "He needs to show off those muscles, like a big-ass barbarian" so i came to "Why not both?" Soooo, i tried to figure it out and make some kind of backstory about him, involving this two apparently opposite appearances.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He was originally a respected barbarian warrior in his homeland, protecting the innocent and weak. Defending it from any threats for many years with his mighty sword and strentgh. He was loved and respected by the townsfolk, and eventually became part of the royal guard. Got the affection and friendship of the king's son, the prince, who was a skillful warrior as well. They became sworn brothers, fighting side by side, and protecting the realm. But in one battle, the enemy used a mysterious but powerful magic force, never seen before by anyone. In the heat of that combat and turmoil, the prince dies, as result of that dark magic. Brunder tried to protect him with his sword, but it was too late. As no one could explain what really happened, he was blamed and accused for murder and treason. The lizard warrior lost his sword in that battle, the only thing that can proof his innocence and explain that dark power. He had to flee away from his homeland as everyone was after him, the rewards for bringing him back to the king's justice were huge. He had to keep a low profile from now and stay away from his town and people, covering his large body in a dark tattered cloak, avoiding public attention. He started studying and practicing magic in full anonymity, trying to understand and unravel what really happened in that battle. His magic skills improved, as well as his melee combat techniques, since he has no sword anymore, defending himself in several occasions from bounty hunters. When magic and peaceful treatment is not enough for the bad guys, the cloak is off and they will face some severe melee barbarian treatment. So now his adventure it's a quest looking for the evil mage that killed his friend, and recover his sword and proof his innocence, whatever happens first.
What do you guys think? I don't want to get into details like names or places. It was just for the sake of justifying the mage/barbarian thing for Brunder. Hope you liked :D
