Growing up, Zukunima quickly took onto his saiyan roots, attacking the inhabitants of the planet Torul. The warriors of Torul were of course no match for Zukunima’s might, especially on nights of a full moon where upon he would rampage until dawn. In time, Zukunima had brought down the planet’s population to one-third with the governments now in disarray. With that, Zukunima was welcomed home to planet Vegeta as an honorary citizen and warrior of the saiyan brotherhood. He became leader of his own squad and was paid handsomely by the warlord known as Freiza. But one day, Zukunima began to realize that killing the innocent suddenly left a void. The slaughter of countless souls began their toll on his soul and in time, the torment and the guilt began to plague him. And in an act of desperation, he left his life on Vegeta behind, going back to Torul, hoping that he could regain penance. The Torul were skeptical and wary of Zukunima given past dealings, not to meantion living in fear of the occupation forces Freiza left to keep the planet in check. And so, with the opportunity, Zukunima began an onslaught against Freiza’s men, killing twenty-seven.
With that came the annoyance of this recent Saiyan attack, the message to Freiza seemed to entice his fury. With several saiyans crying out in riot against Freiza’s regime, they were silenced when Freiza obliterated the planet Vegeta. Off world, Zukunima saw the destruction from the night sky as a flash of light was seen and then the crimson glow that was Vegeta was never to be seen again. It was this that triggered his rage, his cry for justice and perhaps the punishment of the saiyan race, leaving them an endangered species; caused him to become a Super saiyan. This all came not a moment too soon, for as a decree from King Cold, that all remaining saiyans were to be exterminated. With that came Zukunima’s foe and archrival, General Frost, a grim Acosian whom despite some minor sympathy for his endangerment was charged to be executed. But unlike Frieza, Frost was a fighter of honor, wanting to give his opponent a chance to defend himself. When Zukunima became a super saiyan, Frost discovered the warrior he had always hoped for, prompting his transformation into his final form. In the end, both were too evenly matched to kill each other and Frost vowed that he would return to face Zukunima, stronger and much more powerful. In time, the fierce adversaries would become allies and rivals after the death of the Cold Dynasty. Zukunima in the meantime has made it his goal in life to protect the people of the universe in penance of his many sins, hoping that he could one day die in peace.
Zukunima has several powerful techniques, some very cleverly executed, making him a tough opponent. One such attack he calls “Galaxy minefield” creates tiny compressed ki shaped like crystals which if touched sets off a chain reaction. Since it is compressed ki, the effect is extraordinarily explosive. Another is Cosmic Ring Blade which forms Rings around his hands which he uses as a weapon in close combat or can fire as a Ki disk. These often cost him a lot of Ki, but they work well when dealing with a tough opponent or in crowd control.
