A jet trainer of Cold War vintage is based at Saginaw Harry Browne Airport, but I have never seen it in the skies here.

I was under the impression there were no airworthy examples of the L-29 left. (You can correct me if I'm wrong.) Anyway, this brings to mind a question. How do you as an aircraft enthusiast feel about restoring unique and one of a kind aircraft and flying them? The reason I bring up the subject is because over at the Chino Air museum, there's a flyable, original, Japanese Zero, and the N9MB flying wing. Some folks say these aircraft shouldn't be flown because of their rarity and historical value, as there's concerns of a crash damaging the aircraft beyond repair. I believe airplanes are meant to fly, but in some cases of some aircraft are grounded because they've become unsafe mechanically. (Hangar Queens.)
