An updated map of Kormak's world
Ceyrinna: Located to the far north, the island country of Ceyrinna stands somewhat as a separate entity from the rest of the world. Separated from the mainland by several miles of storm plagued sea, Ceyrinna is often seen as a foreboding of mystery by the great empires of Thuria. Unlike the trading civilization of the mainland, Ceyrinna is a realm of highlands and forbidding mountains, misty pines and low-lying valleys. The equine peoples here live in a clannish society that marks their clan allegiance through intricate patterns tattooed on the clans leaders, often shown through marriage packs. The ruling clan, the Sea-mountain Clan tattoo themselves distinctive shade of blue meant to evoke the name of both their clan name and their deity.
The Ceyrinnan's chief deity is known as the Grey God, a vengeful god who took little interest in mortal matters. He and his dark brood are said to never answer prayers, for this as seen as weak pleading and the Grey God would rather such supplicants die honorably. However, the Ceyrinnan's credit their strength of arm and spirit to the Grey God, who allegedly grants strength and courage at birth in order to face their enemies in life.
Chatorea: The largest and most influential of all the seven Empires, Chatorea is known for its fertile cropland and many forests. Fed by the fertile river Rayne that runs directly through it make it a perfect land for civilization, and the kingdom was powerful throughout the ages. It has sometimes been referred to as the "Kingdom of the Vinelands." Chatorea is the most northern of the great empires and covers most of all the northern coastline. Southward it is bordered by Hypaat, Bant and Luste all of which have been classified as "Client States" to Chatorea. The merchant kingdom of Chush to the south west however has been able to remain an independent nation. To the east of Chatorea are the much disputed lands known as the Wolvish Wilds, where the great wolven tribes meet any encroachment by the kingdoms of the west with hostility. Chatorea is a monarchy, with the different provinces offering fealty to the king or queen, and is currently ruled by Queen Dilah. The Chatoreans dislike foreigners, and a general view of those not of Chatorean birth is that they are barbarians.
