Aw bro, I know that feel. When I was in kindergarten I used to stand over a manhole cover next to the basketball court during recess and call down to the Ninja Turtles. I was crushed when my mom told me they couldn't hear me because they weren't real. ;( We were gonna have pizza parties and be best bros.
Then all the incompatibility issues with each universe messing everything up. Like when I was a kid and wondered how the Pokemon universe would work with other worlds, I established it would mess everything up because what constitutes a Pokemon vs. some other sentient animal creature? Could you trap a Ninja Turtle in a pokeball? Could they be used for warfare?

I just don't really find any characters attractive anymore. I don't know, I feel like I've been so lacking in any romantic/sexual/companionship/platonic interaction that my brain is starting to go "ok fine, you're almost 30 now, I'll just turn everything off". So I guess I don't even find anything attractive anymore. Which is kinda shitty because there's a lot of complex beauty in stories and the tales of lives? I guess "you use it or lose it" rings true for caring about people - real or imaginary - as well :s
Hahah yeah, it's super good to be doing something with an actual human face to face instead of talking to friends only online D: which has basically been my life for the past 6 years since all my other friends live out of state. I feel a bit rusty, like that hermit who lived in the woods for 20 years and didn't speak to another person for all that time, and when he finally got found and arrested for stealing stuff from cabins, had trouble interacting since he was so out of practice.
I guess I'll learn? Part of me worries I've irreversibly fucked myself up because sometimes I wonder if I should be feeling more 'feelings' towards people instead of ambivalence.

The only things I consider canon are the comic, the original cartoon and the first couple of movies in the 90s. the rest is pretty much only to sell toys and not in the fun "hey lets make a show that has a bunch of toyetic things and make it fun and exciting" now it's just "lets just push out shit to sell toys. It doesn't have to have a good plot as long as the toys sell"

Not a huge turtles fan, but I've seen a few eps. It grows on you. :) When I was a kid, I was very against it for some strange reason...maybe because my cousin liked it? I don't even know. Kids' reasonings are strange. I was also against eating lasagna for a while because 'I'm not Garfield.' (Despite...having no real problem with the actual character) XDXD; I was so silly. Luckily I've since grown out of such closed-mindedness toward characters I didn't really even know well at the time.
