Well the current ads are based on sites you commonly go to (with a few random ones thrown in). I get mostly ads for my cellphone, internet, and satellite providers. xD

One site has been offering me udder cream. Two months straight. The stuff it offered before (stepladders, wires, lamps, sysadmin training courses) at least had something to do with my searches.

xD It probably assumes you're a handy person that builds things a lot? A lot of people use udder cream for dry hands.

So why do I constantly get ads in Spanish? O.o It's not just on FA either, it's on damn-near everything else. I'm in America, my language is set to English, I never visit Spanish websites, and yet I'm constantly getting ads in Spanish. Of course, I do use an online translator on occasion to translate things from English to Spanish so I can reply to in Spanish sometimes, but I also use it to translate stuff into Japanese; yet I never get any Japanese ads (which I would actually think was pretty cool and would like to see), just Spanish ones.

I get them in Spanish sometimes too, might have to do with what state you are in? I get a lot of ads local to my state, and I figured the spanish ads were related in the same way.

I'm in Kansas. O.o

I'm not sure what the reason is then, it could be because there's a lot of spanish-speaking and bilingual users on FA and ads are compensating for that.

I just know that they are using the google ad service, and google ads are based on your browser and search history (although they do throw random things in).

~shrugs~ It isn't that big of a deal, really, it's just more of a small ".....wtf?" kind of thing. x3 I'd prefer it if the ads were Japanese instead of Spanish, but that's more or a personal preference than anything (I'm a huge anime geek).

My PC can handle them pretty well by blocking them but my phone always hangs itself up on them and i can't block them there. :c

Yes and you should be grateful to those people.

Fur Affinity doesn't get money for the blocked ads, so if everyone did they couldn't pay for their servers and would have to shut down.

As would most free websites.

Seriously, if you appreciate a site, add a damn exception.... its not like the ads have noise.
