You've seen the Riders. Now meet their civilian forms. Raizo Kuwabara and Hayate Tachikaze were raised in the small village of Eldham. They were members of the two most well known families in the village, and when they first met at age 3, the two hated each other. However, they became friends after Raizo attempted to save Hayate from some bullies that came from outside the village. The two had distinctly different personalities, with Raizo being more extroverted and energetic, while Hayate was more calm and studious. However, their lives were changed forever one fateful day.

On the day of Hayate's 8th birthday, a Dragonborn with black scales rode into the village atop a horse. attempting to get the village to bow to the will of the Chromatic Dragon Deity known as Tiamat, the stranger was told to leave. Instead of heeding the order, he instead raised his hand and summoned a swarm of dragons to raze the village to the ground. Along with him, a single human wielded a strange device called the Tiamat Driver to become a masked warrior who called himself Kamen Rider Wyrm. He then personally murdered the Kuwabara and Tachikaze families with his own hands, leaving only the two sons, hoping that their spirits would be broken to the point of joining Tiamat.

However, Raizo and Hayate did not give into despair, and held on tightly to hope, fueled by their bond to each other. Raizo immediately adopted Hayate as his younger brother, and from that day on, he took it upon himself to be the best influence on him he could. Years passed, and the two were approached once again by the Black Dragonborn on the road. When he learned they had not given in to their despair and bowed to Tiamat's will, he angrily sent his army of kobolds after them. However, they were saved personally by the intervention of the Metallic Dragon God himself, the legendary Platinum Dragon named Bahamut.

Bahamut whisked the two away into the mountains and asked if they would become champions of justice in the name of Bahamut. Upon agreeing, Raizo and Hayate were each granted a Bahamut Driver, the counter-weapon to the accursed Tiamat Driver. With these magical devices, the two were able to utilize the power of the Dragon Scales to become armored champions of the Metallic Dragons...
