Yeah, it's amazing, but... ß- is reads as S, so "Straus", in russian "страус"... and it translates as ostrich. ^_^ Awesome)

"Strauß" is the German word for "ostrich". Just sayin'.
So if anything, the better question would be, if he's German. xD

Russians stole the word for "ostrich" from the Germans, and claim it a russian word now. crazy...

Thank you. I dont speak German, so i didn't knew. Actually, we, Russians stole so many words, so we just dont know which ones we stole, and from which languages))) (Maybe that can explain why our lang. so rich! )
