This Collage is made up of photography of the surrounding area of my Grandpa's Property. My grandmother still lives there, but due to her old age isnt able to keep up with the maintenance.
However, it may not look like much with all these pictures, but they mean alot to me as I was going along the old dirt bike trail my grandpa would walk down every morning.
The pictures are in no particular order, but include a range of the big sitting rock on a hill that overlooks the property, the well house with a few cats sitting on the clothes line's pole. Thefront pourch (with a few more cats) Candy's Shed and her laying on the porch of it. The Boston Terriers Dog House. The barn, chicken coop, the remains of the lake, a few "projects" of his, and it concludes with where he is now burried in his favourite area. His garden.
He came to this country with $50 in his pocket. And worked his fingers off to have this huge plot of land. He build all the buildings himself with a little help of his sons. We felt it would only be right to let him rest where he loved.
In Loving Memory of Grandpa Robert Hicks.

I hope so as well. The land holds sooo much potential too! If it was cleaned up a little, then it could be restored to its original state of holding cattle and horses, chickens geese and peacocks, pigs and all kinds of dogs. I can only dream of the day it will be turned to me. As it will be passed down from first born to first born.
I can only hope nothing happens to force the family to sell it as we have been threatoned in the past.
It holds over 127acres. Id hate to loose it.

Do what I should have done. If I had I would be sitting on my own 80 acres now. Start working for your grandmother. Tell her your hopes, dreams, etc for the property and start doing them. Tell her you want to keep it working. She may just deed it to you or put it in a trust that states (I forget how my lawer worded it to me when we were going through it) but basically the farm stays under your control as long as you live there to maintain it.
Whatever you do if at all possible do not sell it or mortgage it. I have a feeling in the hard times thats coming having the deeds to a chunck of land plus the balls and brass to defend that deed will be quite the advantage over most.
