Although we’ve been together for over 8 years, today marks both her birthday and our one year wedding anniversary. This year has been extra special since we moved across the Pacific, I shuttered my little business/shop and returned to just freelancing, and we bought a nice little house on the island. It was rocky, but in the end the good outnumbered the bad 100 to 1. Those be good odds and I hope for the same in the future!

Well, congratulations and an honest thumbs up there. I hope you both want to have more years together as husband and wife than was spent girlfriend and boyfriend. I mean, seriously, 7 years together before you two got hitched? Not only is that awesome, that is a lengthy vetting process. Keep up the good fight.
A million thanks ;D ! There are many differing views but we regret nothing about not tying the knot for so long since it allowed us to go through a lot together and see how things held up. By the time we got married, we were experienced roommates, ironed out a good chunk of personal issues and weathered many fights/disagreements. They'll be plenty more trials, but it's comforting to know that I'm married to one of my best friends :D
