Oxnard and Kamui annoy each other
Oxnard and Kamui annoy each other
Kamui creeps Oxnard out, they're still looking for Mr. Raccoon and Nishidor.
A comic with every character being my own sounds so self-centered.

Ehehe, oh this is embarrassing... 8D

He's actually based off a Gaia character I started back in high school.
I don't think the weird pirate/muskateer/cowboy hat suits me AT ALL. 8D But that's who I was then, I guess it was style. :B

Ahah, I see I see l3
The reason I ask is because long ago, in my character's first iteration, he wore the traditional Red Mage outfit from the Final Fantasy series, which happens to look like this: http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?.....dmageryuz9.png -- while I actually have no pictures of my anthro-self in that outfit, the shadowy-'coon you depict in this comic, in such a mono-chromatic style, gave me a very similar impression. l3
I am your evil twin >:3

...it's different to have a comic with all of your own characters? You're getting too use with having cameos and tributes for your comics =P
If you have a story to tell, and you want all the characters therein to act how you want them to fully tell the story, it's best to do so with characters that you know will act accurate to how they are as well as how they'd react to situations and conflicts that they interact with. Having a character created by somebody else creates the problem of 'Would he/she actually do that in this situation?'
Also, I'm pretty sure that professional comic-making people tend to use their own created characters XP
Now, making a comic where all the characters used are personifications of different versions of yourself... that's just spiffy. =P

Hehe, I guess that is right! Though usually the characters that belong to the person are different people, instead of multiple past and present portrayals of their own self, I guess it really isn't that uncommon afterall. :3 Though it's easier to be myself here in these different forms, so I'm happy. :D
And that's right! Actually, I've made some things for friends before and don't think I quite captured their character, or had them a little confused about it after it was made. 8D At least I have no complaints here since it's much more natural. :3
That too! :D Just like some people use their own ideas for something made later, I'd think the same would have to go for the professional world too!
Hehe, thank you for your input, it's very encouraging, and fun to read! :D

I only tend to comment on things that I feel I can actually say something about. I'm not one of those 'Spiffy!' or 'Hawt!' or ':D' types of commenters. So you -should- fell encouraged by my comments B)
But seriously, I'm really enjoying these. I tend to have a better appreciation towards continuing series of comics rather than a collection of individual ones, as funny as they can be. I really think you're onto something too. I feel like I could make something similar with my own characters (as I've got plenty which I consider different sides of me, no matter how different they are from each other), but... I'd be following in your shadow, so to speak, so I shouldn't XP
I'd ask what kinds of plans you have for this, but I think I'd rather be surprised =P

Hehe, then I'm totally honored! I think this is funner and more inspirational than little jokey sessions. :3 I like both, but this one I'm constantly driven with, and I feel really attached to it. Even if other people would rather have something short, quick, and easy to follow, I'm glad you're enjoying this. :3
Hehe, well I hope you don't stop yourself if it's something you think you'd want to do. (: Even if we had the same idea going, it's still unique and your own. :D It's like Tetris Attack and Pokemon Puzzle League! I'd buy the other if I had more money to spend. :D
Eh, that was silly, like I said, it'd be your own and more different than those two games. 8D

Sorry, I cant give everything away yet. There's that much for you though!

It deals with a man who goes through a lot of life problems and ends up losing his mind between trying to make a masterpiece play, finding his daughter, and dealing with several affairs. Its from the creator of ....that Sunshine of the Spotless Mind movie - its really really really brutal, depressing, and deep o.o;
A Broken Circle indeed, Nishi. I think this is the first one of yours I've ever seen that hasn't changed characters, or concept, in between rows. A most unique departure from what we as readers have come to expect during the cycle.
Kudos to you on noting the concept of fourth wall breakage. I didn't know what that meant until I read an article on Wikipedia about "Captain Flamingo" a few months ago. However, to a point, I think its neat to see how Oxnard is open to understanding he is a part of something bigger than the events that are transpiring around him directly. Perhaps it is his open and bubbly mind that make him so open to believing he is being "watched" by outsiders?
Here's something fun for you. Have you ever played "Twisted Metal 2?" That game is ancient PSX. However, I recall playing it with a friend of mine and, in it, one of the character's bios was all about how he KNEW he was in a video game and nobody believed him. I think the idea of having characters with heightened perspective is quite interesting. After all, everyone else in the story feels they are out to blow each other up in suped up vehicles. He, on the other hand, is massively destroying the fourth wall as he realizes his fate is in the hands of a pyromaniac, PSX player. :)

Ehehe, oh thanks! I think it's an interesting concept. (: I haven't heard of Captain Flamingo, but I always thinks it's silly when shows step out of the story and make little comments about it being on television or a comic... just something lighthearted that brings you back to reality. :B There are always new things to learn and gain by bein' open! (:
That's so cool! :D It's like someone thinking that in reality wouldn't seem very sane, and neither does this TM2 character, and yet he's completely right. That's actually a firghtening idea, not having a say in your fate like that.... but I'm sure it makes him an even more interesting guy to have around. (: Id think thats pretty unique!

Indeed. Actually, the Twisted Metal character is a prime example of the agony I go through when I'm writing. As the author, I have god-like powers to do exactly what I please to anyone and anything. If I want to kill someone, I can kill them. If I want to blow up an entire town for the heck of it, I can blow the whole place to kingdom come!
But, I don't.
I don't know if you get like this at all, Nishi, but I feel a unique bond between the characters and worlds I write about. As my wife described, it is like I become a whole new person when I talk about what these characters are doing. On that note, while I write, I can often feel their circumstances guiding what I put down in text. If there's one thing I strive for more than anything else as a writer, it is to be honest to the characters themselves. To portray them, their lives, or their worlds in anyway that would seem to meet more my whims than theirs is simply out of the question. I really can't explain exactly how such feelings have come to be over me. But, they have. Perhaps, if you are a believer in reincarnation, I may have once lived on the world I am writing about and, as a result, my writing is simply my past life trying to come out in my current. Creepy, eh?

Woopsie... didn't reply to the right place! :D
It's a bit of a responsibility to be a writer - especially if you have an idea or something you'd like to uphold in your work. In your case, it definitely seems like you have some thoughtful values in yours, making sure that the world involved in your work is portrayed in just the right way, rather than many of the other things you could do for whatever reason. Keeping up with that through a whole piece of work can be a real challenge too!
That reminds me of what an old friend of mine told me before, about how art's like giving birth. Our creations are our responsibility, and when you're really involved, you tend to look out for the world you've made, how it's interpreted, where it goes... and who knows, maybe past lives or experiences creep out and inspire us until we actually do something with them - maybe even creating the world we very well once lived in, or are about to when we tell its story. I like looking at it that way. :3
