saw a lot of ads for visiting the netherlands for a while, and some of them sported a herd of horses with pale fur and dark faces and legs: the konikpaarden. so I had the idea to just make a random character...
and here we go. :)

Never actually asked sunday drivers "who" and "why". They're weird))
Loves meh 2 solid axles & minimal part suspension. (with it's breaking axle tho, Bronco is a touring championship offroader, compared to what i've used to drive https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQpcDfAN6xdaiIZQajTWp-VmAmG4BqZtnOQ4fSGEuXjDUzt--wd)

Um.. *cough* looks familliar? http://classictrucks.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/1956_Ford_F600_IMG_2518.jpg
Even sounds and pulls like an FE block of thoose days.
R.F. Made them for 1993, then they had "modernised" the cab abit & gave it pneumatic brakes to coop with trailer market.
Belarus made them for 1999, so, if you wanna cheap classic - we're still got theese runnin around in some numbers.

Size it up! Size it up! Cause when you size it up, (wrong model) fits yooooouuu
Seem you've done alright out there! Can definatelly say i'm jealous.
Sadly "the System" here doesn't want anything too cheap too old and/or/if too efficient (i.e. with N/A engines that got truck torque)
So the oldest thing i could find that remotely fit my preferrence was '92 hunderbucket (the X-bird, mighty Tombstone) http://savepic.net/8131023.jpg
Got me a nice 302 EFi (which is nice and smooth, but i just don't trust electronics, even as simple as this one)
Also (probably previous owner swapped) M5R2-C in there, with 30/30 disc final drive.
The big "ow" comes in it's in the still ongoing investigation on VIN, so... the burd sits in the garage for 2+ years now. (well.. with some night cruises around the block, to keep her warm'n'fit)

ooh, teabird. :)
too inefficient? look at what they are doing when "tuning up" diesel engines so they puff out fatter smoke than those ancient steam powered locomotives at full thrust... for fun&laughter. while pointing at VW which just exploited loopholes. (not the right thing to do, granted; but, still.)
also, IMO a SUV is inefficient as well. big, fat, heavy, gas-suckling, no luggage space, and maintenance eats your soul. and the tyres break your back... I'm a car mechanic, and I hate those things.
hey, the predecessor of your bird was available with a BMW straight-six diesel engine and ZF automatic gear as well. though they are extremely rare... there might be only one in germany. if it's still in runnign condition that is. saw it 20 years ago.
aw man, that sucks. good luck!

Yeh, Aeros also had a Sierra UNcostworthy engine (2.3Tooboo) in it, supposed to coop with "after 70's fuel nuclear cold world crisis the 3rd" ...or whatever bull they said on tele.
Point was, that even bold stock 90bhp 3.8 had more bulge and ate less gas (which could also be regular or leaded) not to mention it sounded like a cruiser, compared to ecoboost coffee-mincer.
Personally tho, i'll stick with "wrong order" VeeOight anytime, thankyou.
P.S. Don't tell me about Vag's bag of PR century... i grown up in garage full of Volvos, lots of which had LT series 2.4 i KNOW when i'm being ripped off))) (also, why mine 244 had original swedish Redblock)
PPPS "the system" has no common sense or reasoning, all it wants is to take our pleasure & money, and fill the gaps with gray boxes of consumption - no use of arguing with them, just take whatever holes in rules they haven't closed yet - that's the russian motorhead goal.

I know these 2.3 turbos. even the 2.0 OHC in a Taunus or Capri had more horses to spare. they fired the Escort Mk2 up to over 200HP for rallye purposes and Zakspeed pressed 300 and more out of a charged 1.4.
the 2.3 was here used for the Sierra XR4i sports base car. I'd have to look up the Cosworth, but I think they had an engine of their own for it. if you turbocharge, make it worth the effort, I say.
meanwhile my old 1.6, 72HP OHC is still fast enough to get ticketed. and modern rides aren't that much a gasoline miser compared to what effort they put into technics and management. no idea why people still buy them... apparently gas is still too cheap. currently 1:35€ per litre is stiff, but not stiff enough?
I'd love me a V8. or a well-made V6. Ford used to have a 2.3 V6 with 125 HP in the 60's which could push a sedan close to 200kph.
the system doesn't care about pleasure. a bureaucrat's pleasure is rules. their orgasm is rules beign stuck to. they want ourt money though, because a bureaucracy eats money. somethign our head politicians will never get... don't make them govern money or acts or laws, they will always charge for it, eating up any tax income they might think up. happened before, will keep on happening.
