Seeing the monstrous Baptiste just devour his friend, Tannis, Rodent pleaded for the beast to open up and release the coyote. Knowing it was already too late, Baptiste did open his great maw, but only to show the rat that it was too late and the coyote was gone. Squeaking out a playful giggle, Rodent then surprised the water guardian by jumping head-first into that maw. Once again those jaws snapped shut, but it was too late. The rat had already hit his gullet and an instinctive gulp sent him right down to the same digestive fate that befell Tannis just moment before.
