BIO:
Born a year after her older brother Rico, and a year before moving to Earth, Rika is a spitting image of her brother in many ways. Like Rico, Rika is very smart, and loves to work with mechanics and study science. However, Rika's main interested is medical and help healing the sick. As a teen, she viewed the legendary Starfleet doctors Leonard McCoy & Voyager's EMH "Joe Zimmerman" as her heroes. While Rico went to Starfleet Academy for science and tactical, Rika went to Starfleet Academy to earn her degree in medical sciences. During her Academy days, she met up with her & Rico's best friend, Kitana Cobra, who too had join the academy. When she finally graduated at age 19, she applied to Starfleet Medical to work with other doctors. When Rico was given command of the Axalon, he learned Rika had earned her rank of Chief Medical Officer and immediately requested her transfer to his ship, and made her his 2nd in command.
As Chief Medical Officer, Rika tends to treat her patients as if they were her own kin, and would never give up on a them until all options were exhausted. As Commander of the Axalon, Rika brings a sense of family to the crew, as is never afraid to let her emotions guide her judgement when conditions call for it.
In her personal life, Rika has always been attracted to boys as well as other girls, and growing up she was afraid to telling her family in fear of rejection. When she finally came out to them, they already approved, much to her joy, as they've known about her sexuality since she was a preteen. When Rika & Kitana joined up again at Starfleet Academy, they both shared a room together, and it was long until both of them became a couple and were sleeping in the same bed.
As Flight Leader of Team Sakara, Rika is able to fly at pretty much the same speeds as her parents, as well as keep up with her brother's speed on the ground when in the air. Like Rico, Rika is also an Elemental, and full control over air and wind.
Her hobbies include cooking using the replicators only for ingredients, reading classic and modern romance novels, and like the great Deanna Troi, has a sweet tooth for all things chocolate.
