When you're a pony who is Lord of a Griffonian House, and your co-founders can all fly, being able to fly also seemed like a good idea to Long Path. With the combined technical know-how of Techbird and magical ability of Twilight Sparkle, a special suit of armor is created that draws on earth pony magic to power artificial wings. After a few minor set-backs (he healed pretty quickly, okay?), the wings are perfected. Time for that long-delayed mating flight with Lady Roseclaw!
