Lawful means those who use the rules and the laws as their judgement.
Chaotic means those who care nothing about rules and laws, or in other words, freedom of action.
Neutral was those who valued rules and freedom on the same amount.
EX. Lawful Evil can be an evil commander who's control over the army to rule the country.
Chaotic good can be an anti-hero who didn't care much about law like someone who can kill the villain without hesitation, even those action were against the law.
