Oh goodness, if you can get any paint to work for you, more power to you! I would be so happy if I could get water colors to work; I love the look. Paints don't like me, though....
Colored pencils and hard pastels (basically chalks) are my favorite media. Oh and clay. You gotta love a medium where you can beat the crap out of a piece of art after a mistake and the only bad thing that results is you have a pretty weird looking purple/brown now ^_^

I got my fingers crossed. I'll be working with some traditional medium hopefully soon. I gotta get back in the swing of things, but I found a set of watercolor pencils, a set of watercolors, and a bunch of markers stashed away. I've been out of the traditional game for so long I need to get my bearings again with em.
And omg clay!!! I sort of miss the pottery station back in school. We did a whole session on sculpture and the pottery wheel was my favorite by far. Very soothing, but yeah, if things got messed up, a couple of whacks and back to square one. Very theraputic :3
