Ohai friends. I'm breaking my normal rule for this gallery, and sharing something here that ordinarily would go solely on my DA account (Insert plug here: http://misterferv.deviantart.com/ ). This, is my first ever, FULLY coloured, digital painted piece of my work. So y'know, kinda' a big deal for me.

The original B&W piece ( http://misterferv.deviantart.com/ar.....-Day-518012795 ) was done as a tribute to the late, great Leonard Nimoy. Here's what I said about it then:

"Galvatron, the uniter of the wild tribes of Cybertron.

He is a major character in the comic series going back to when Marvel published the books. He is also one of the biggest bads, second to only Megatron, himself. However, most notably, is that when I read his words, or even watch him in the old 80s cartoon series (where Frank Welker does what he does best, to be sure), there is only one distinct, unique, and unmistakable voice that plays through my mind: Leonard Nimoy.

We were all sad to hear of his death, and blessed to have had him on this Earth with us for as long as we did. We all treasure Leonard's talent for entertainment in one fashion or another. Obviously, there's Star Trek for most. But for those of my fellow Transformer nerds, we will always playback those classic lines, "Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes?" or "First Prime. Then Ultra Magnus. It's a pitty you Autobots die so easily, or I might get a sense of satisfaction."

Leonard Nimoy will be missed. But he will be forever loved."

Anyway, I'd like to give a special thanks to my good friend,  MidnightDraven for the one day Sai tutorial! Couldn't have done this without you! ...I mean, my apathy alone! Harhar.

I did this over the past coupla' nights as my wind-down from working on commissions. SO, does this mean you'll be seeing more pieces coloured by yours truly? I mean... I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm VERY proud of my pencil work, and will continue to keep illustrating as my main focus. BUT, I wouldn't be surprised either.
