Fanart of my favorite band ever, They Might Be Giants! Aaa!
This references anything ranging from before the first album until the most recent one, Glean. I drew this a few months ago or I would've put an ambulance in there for sure!
Here's a photo of what the original looks like: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u.....rt%20photo.jpg

If you're a fan, have fun figuring what all these drawings refer to!
If you have never heard of them, don't even get me started.
This makes a somewhat nice introduction: http://www.avclub.com/article/v-clu.....ear-car-221363
Edit:
You can now buy this on an official shirt as part of a holiday bundle in the TMBG merch shop! (Aaa!)

One of my favorite They Might Be Giants albums is 1990s "Flood." I don't think I have any others. I know there were a couple Children's "Gee wow-Science!" themed albums created by the band. I feel like I "missed the bus" with the band's current offerings though.
Great image by the way. I instantly got lost in all the interesting little details.

You could always go to their youtube channel, most of their albums are on there in full. Of course it's a matter of taste but if you liked Flood, there must be so much other stuff out there that you like. I have over 600 individual songs on my harddrive alone. I personally do like the three Disney albums (the 'Here come...' themed ones), but they did continue to do 'adult' work throughout that period as well. Their first kids album (No!) and most likely their upcoming one (Why?) are far more wacky. All the stuff from 2015 is also on http://dialasong.com/.
I notice you have the squid, a broom, a grocery bag, a stalk of wheat. Not to mention a lucky ball and chain, a human skull (on the ground perhaps?), and a guitar (but no silver spaceship). Is the phone a ref towards their Dial-A-Songs?
Are there any plans to sell this as a shirt? Or a poster? :D

Also, I love that it's inspired by Pogo: http://tmbw.net/wiki/images/9/9f/Pogo1953.png
I loved their first set of albums (up through Factory Showroom) but lost interest when they began doing stuff aimed at children.
The ones I can pick out fairly easily:
In the "T."
(My) Metal Detector
Birdhouse (in your Soul)
Bag of groceries (from "Dead")
The noose (possibly from "Twisting.")
Stompbox
In the "H."
Spaceman (Apollo 18 ref?)
Severe Tire Damage
Chair (Someone Keeps Moving my Chair)
Bottle of Nyquil (AKA Driver)
Worm & Drumsticks (Dr. Worm)
Scarecrow (Where your Eyes don't Go.)
Pillow (ref. to one of the Fingertips songs?)
In the "E."
SPIDER!
Bellboy cap & magnifying glass (Hotel Detective)
Snailshell
Pencil (Pencil Reign?)
We Want A Rock (To tie a piece of string around)
Sperm whale (Apollo 18 ref)
In the "Y."
Dinner Bell
(Lucky) Ball and Chain
Toupee (Purple Toupee?)
Skull (Turn Around)
Squid (Apollo 18 ref)
The guitar, accordion and violin could either be refs to specific songs or there as examples of instruments they're known for.
I'm sure there's others I could get if I dragged out my CDs and cross-checked the titles, but this is what I can get by memory without doing that.

That's getting there! Some of them refer to very recent or obscure songs, and some don't even refer to songs at all (an example would be the log which is a reference to their first website). A lot of them also are double (or even more) references, like the tree, lightbulb or the beard which can easily refer to more than three things. (I like the forehead because it is a prosthetic forehead, bangs and also LINNELL'S HAIRWOOSH.) All 17 studio albums are represented and a lot of the other releases are as well. The Johns' solo projects are represented as well.
Oh yeah, the accordion is a specific one that gets used, I forgot the name (it's not the main squeeze, that one has way too many squigglies on it). The guitar is Flans' self-designed Chessmaster (you can see it in several clips, like The Statue Got Me High). The violin is a reference to the song Violin. Which is amazing.
Oh man somebody put the clip from the DVD online. It is... it is...

Most people don't know who they are (which is frustrating) I found them when branching out from my go-to bands; Joy Division , The Smiths, The Clash, the cure, etc. If you have a soft spot for the obscure bands, an incredible underground band that no one knows of that I love is Motorama if you like they might be Giants you might want to check them out!
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude I was just about to go to sleep but now I'm gonna spend an hour staring at this.
And yeah, if you ever redo this you should definitely put in the ambulance. And a mole, and a three-part folding mirror, anything from Definition of Good and Shape Shifter, and....
