Just futzing around with ideas. I'm not sure if cutting off airflow to unused outlets is important, but if it is, this is a possibility!

closing unused branches would increase the static pressure head, it's a good idea unless you plan on having all the branches filled 24/7

Yeah, the unused outlets are letting out air that could go to the other used outlets.
Makes sense to me.

My dear Crux, it is the end of a branch of a fursuit head dryer tree for use in a headless lounge at a furry con.

Hot sweaty fursuit heads can be put on a branch to dry out as the fursuiter relaxes and cools off.
