A little sketch I did yesterday while our neighbors had a wild party with the most horrible music you can imagine, hrghlrhh.

Yeah, from the same story haha...though I'm not sure if Uzo (the anteater) even ever meets Manu...Manu and Buern (kinda) have the same goal, though they're completely different and don't get along too well, for now at least.
And yeah, he's small, though not as small as I drew him here ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1696181/ <- here's a more accurate height comparison haha..though Ralph tends to draw him a bit taller). So...let's just pretend that he's crouching down or something xD

Hahaha... You guys are making a super universe here, huh? I suppose it's not a bad idea, but I tend to like creating separate ideas instead of pooling them all together. I figure if I'm gonna write these stories it's not a bad idea to do that, it forces me to be more creative and make new rules that fit different environments instead of just having a load of ideas under one roof. And, this way each story I right is a fresh new idea, yanno?
Oh I saw that size comparison... and I have to admit Manu was smaller than I thought, but it makes way too much sense. My lemurs are like... 5 feet tall... since I figured for simplicities sake it's just lemurs in my story as far as I gathered, the different races are the different species of lemur (kinda like the different cat species in Tracy’s work http://tracyjb.deviantart.com/ )so there isn't much to compare them against like giant polar bears. Or they are kinda on their own little continent and don't get much foreign contacts?? :| Hmm, I should think about that.

Is it super....hahaha, nooo....it's not that big. I will show you a map sometime xD
And these are separate ideas that combine into one after...a certain amount of time. Since the characters all live in the same world and all...
Now I'm working on a backstory for Manu and 'The night after' is a part of it. In that part he's 11 years old and living on an island (which is a carbon copy of Madagascar in a way..there are mainly lemurs there, with a very conservative view on everything bla bla blah) with his family, far away from more...hm, advanced cultures. When he leaves the island (because he blew something out of proportion and then believed it to be true and to prove something to himself and more bla blah) he's 24 years old and when he finally meets Buern he'll be almost 30. So yeah..
And believe me- his reaction to the size of everything outside the island made him go wtf and made him even more self-conscious than he already was hahaha...
And I just loooove that kind of size difference between anthro characters, I dunno why...I just find it really fun haha...

Well, you have two people working on this so I can understand how it's be a little bit expansive. I've only ever really created three stories. One was more character driven (Sarah's story), one was more world based (Aylet's stories), and then one is kinda in between (Rem's story). It just depends on what kinda story you are trying to put across I figure, and different readers enjoy different things.
Yeaaaaaah, see that’s what I'm thinking too, if there were multiple anthros there would have to be a continental boundary between them... Like Madagascar. And, if all anthros are roughly the same size you don't have to worry about one Buern suddenly punting Manu againt a wall and cracking his head open like an egg (OR LOL, Roman... who the hell is he gonna stop from coming into his pub? XD ). Hahaha, you see, I love those size differences too but the possibility for abusing that size difference is staggering. So, that's why the variation between species are at most 2-3 ft (lol, you figure out the conversion, it's like a meter) in my head. So, at the very least, no one is truly defenseless.
But the concept of multiple anthro species was always extremely fun, but confusing and hard for me to rap my head around. I mean, on a technical level. They would all feasibly have different languages, there would be no breeding between each other, so unlike in human cultures, there would be a very distinct and unpreventable separation between species and culture, and then when you couple in the fact that these are very sentient creatures, you wonder what's stopping one population from completely dominating... Like the tigers, get all fed up with trying to reason for resources with the greedy mouse people, so they start invading everything or something. It's cute in Disney movies, but nonsensical for somewhat series literature.
(sorry... I ruin everything, I think way the fuck too much.......)
Okay okay... I'm rambling hardcore now... Like I said, the possibility of multiple critters in my story is a consideration, they'd be colonists haha...

Well....everything you mentioned....is an advantage for me. I don't mind Roman being smeared on the floor by someone who didn't simply notice him.
I could try to explain myself here...that we made the creator (some kind of a od race) of that world it's dictator and that there's a basic language that most of it's citizens know...but it all sounds incredibly stupid, so I'll just hope that you'll be able to enjoy those silly stories (from my part of the project) for their nonsense...or not hahahaha...I'm really not trying to prove that I'm a good writer or storyteller, I'm not...I'm just having tons of fun, I guess xD
