All in seriousness.
Today is my birthday, and I wanted to draw something for myself. Even if it was sloppily done and rushed.
I wanted to be surrounded by my best friends again. The furry ones. I miss them dearly, and it was hard having to let go of them, but I know in spirit, they'll always be here for me and I'll never forget them.
Recently, I had to put my dog down; Dobbler. He's now joined the circle of love up on Rainbow Bridge. I'm still in my grieving phase for him, but it's good to know that he's not in pain anymore.
From left to right - Dobbler (dapple dachshund), Coco (sugar glider), Shy Guy (white feline), Runt (black feline), Barnabas (betta)
Happy birthday, me. :v

I've known all of these pets. Not personally of course, but through my interactions with you I've had my experience with them through us talking about them.
Watching a video of your Sugar Glider is one of my earliest memories of you actually.
You've lost a lot of pets that loved you individually. It takes a toll on you losing friends like you have. Done my best to be there for you during your times of loss.
This is an incredibly sweet picture, a fantastic way to honour their love.

Y'know, it's funny how pets are.
I don't really remember a lot of my childhood. Some abstract, boring classes of the basics, one or two good friends I haven't heard from in decades. Heck, almost everything up through middle school is much of a blur.
But the pets? Yeah, I remember the pets. Daisy, our first cat, was a curious little beast who often pawed at my fascinated five-year-old face, wondering what I was doing in her territory. Boots was the ultimate stoner cat. You couldn't upset Boots, ever. Pick 'im up? Sure, okay, where are we going? Kitchen? Alright, neat, you gonna give me a bath in the sink? Alright, alright, that's fine. Then Uno, Shiela, Angel...
Impressive how the pets are like additional family members. You can remember the lil' things far better than so much of the rest of your life. I remember how torn up I was, watching Uno live out his last days before it was finally time to put him down. I can only imagine what you went through in your own time.
It's good to see the pets here, memorialized. I can just imagine them, pawing at the screen all curiously Daisy-like as they look over themselves.
