OM NOM NOM CAKE! XD OM NOM RAINBOWS! Lol!

This is something I drew for  nekophoenix 's birthday contest. However, I found the contest when there wasn't much time left and I hadn't drawn a full page illustration in I can't remember how long, so this is way past the deadline, but I still wanted to finish it, lol. Part of the contest was to incorporate some of Nekophoenix's favorite things. On that list there was tea, cake, cats, fairy lights, and pretty much everything I love myself, so I was originally going to draw a flame point siamese cat fairy of teatime. The contest was either to invent a character based on one or more things from the list, or to have one of their characters interacting with one of yours. So I was going to invent a fairy cat, but then this image suddenly came to mind for "cake" and "pride." So I drew Nekophoenix's character, Mouse, with my male deer fursona, who I finally settled on a name for, Ambrose, all decked out in rainbows and maniacally enjoying a rainbow cake, perhaps a little too much, lol! XD CAAAKE! I swear they are not secretly zombies eating brains, lol! I also started this a couple days before that supreme court decision happened when I had no idea that was even going on, so I was hoping to post this during pride weekend, but alas, I bit off more than I could chew for such a quick deadline. But it's done now. Yay rainbows!

I'm still practicing how I color Ambrose. He's supposed to have a gradation from pale yellow-green to turquoise. I'm also surprised how long it took me to realized I'd made a teal deer character. X3 Hee hee! I'll have to either make or commission a proper character sheet of him when I can.

Anyway,  nekophoenix sorry this didn't make it in time for the contest, but I hope you enjoy it! I wanted to send you some sugary rainbows of happiness. :3
