Last week, I completed the largest project of my life- a giant-zed Night Fury plush for a customer. No, this is not Toothless, as he has both his tail fins intact. I see him as an unnamed juvenile Night Fury, and eager to see his world. So I took him exploring before he headed off to his dragon trainer.

This little dragon isn't so little! He weights about 15 pounds, is 6 1/2 feet from nose to tail tip, and has a whopping 8 1/2 foot wingspan- bigger than me! Plenty of dragon to hug! He was made 100% by me, from Shannon Minky with embroidered scale details on his face, ears, all four legs and both shoulders above the wings. His claws are a vinyl-look spandex and are sewn into his paws. His legs kick out in front of his chest and behind him so he can sprawl on his belly.

When he gets home, this adorably sweet Night Fury will bring lots of joy to his new owner, and I'm sure will have tons of adventures in Canada!

Now, this has been the largest, most difficult plush project I have ever taken on. I have never made a plush so large or with so many details, nor one that took over 13 lbs of stuffing to fill! He was a one of a kind project, and I was very happy to create him. I doubt I will ever make another, as this project took over my entire living room for three entire weeks!
