Nah, Pearl got one too in the second season. I drew this at the START of the second season like a genius I was staring at her outfit from season one.

no weird mini skirt, different colors for socks, shoes, and shorts, and the top is different she no longer has that sheer thing going on at the to.

I did a traditional bit of art that has the update- that's the only reason why I know the changes.

I remember that outfit being from flashbacks to when Greg first met Rose.

Nooo the Rose Flash back she has that sheer capelet across her shoulders when I meant sheer I meant her top (with the sheer yellow skirt) was like an ice skater's outfit (which I think that's what it was inspired by)

If you look at the second opening it's the new outfit. (the more upbeat version of the song)

I think only Garnet didn't get much of an upgrade when it came to the gems XD

I swear, only Amethyst got a costume change. I'll look it up though.

I think they all got some adjustments, I don't think Garnet's is actually anything too dramatic if anything at all.

Yeah baby pearl has silly capelet stupid looking thing, then she got ice skater inspired outfit, then she got... I guess fencer/martial arts? I don't understand the wrap around her waist It's weird looking but as my friend told me "Eh, don't worry about it. A lot of people remember ballerina pearl's outfit most" because that was the opening outfit FOREVER.

Yeah, just Google Images "Steven Universe Pearl" or Steven Universe Opening (season 2) since it's in the first second of the song since they are on the warp pad.

Oh now I see it, it's crazy but it was so subtle a change that I didn't even think about it.

Hahaha, yeah. Since they are to keep to their colors it wasn't a huge change and so we just go "Ah, okay" and keep going, it wasn't so drastic that it was addressed. Not like when she was wearing her beach dress XD (still the same colors cause Gems)

Personally, I've come to love her current look. Fits her role as a guardian.

I never said I liked her original design more- I just happen to draw it forgetting there was an update and when I drew her traditionally I did the updated outfit.

Actually I made no mention of preference for outfits. I just mention that there was no weird skirt and no weird sheer thing but I never said I preferred one to the other- I said people remember the ballerina outfit most so don't worry about forgetting she had an update.
