A lesser known secret is that Alpine's tail has a mind of its own, the location of said mind is a mystery, as is much of the reason why the maw only seems to be there half the time. But let us just say that it's a good thing it doesn't see any more than it needs to- otherwise it would no doubt get in to so much trouble.
