Tonight at 9:30 our old friend Puck passed away on mum's lap, after our vet helped him along. He was just too tired, his kidneys were failing and after the traumatic experience of what acute kidney failure did to our ginger friend, we wanted to spare him such pain and misery.

Even as he lies on his chair wrapped in a towel, he still looks like he's sleeping. He's been with us since he was barely six months old, and has finally left us after sixteen years filled with cuddles, sneakily stolen cheese and lots of explorin' and adventurin'.

We will miss you, old boy. May you never have to suffer from a runny nose or coughs again.
