Hunger in the Jungle.
In the lush, tropical jungles of Kanto, there are many different wonders and dangers alike. Most trainers stayed on the beaten path in this specific jungle known as the mist jungle. Called that because the jungle was always surrounded in thick fog, making traversing the area lethal for anyone not native to the area. One such being was a rather ravenous Victreebell that went by the name of Thorn by the other pokemon. For Thorn, everything within the lush foilage were his prey be it an Arbok or a small rattata.
Thorn was a unique Victreebell with four sharp teeth centered around his maw, which as per standard of their species was at the top of it's head. One interesting feature regarding Thorn's head was the fact that the leaf concealing his jaws sported a yellow coloration while the vine coiled around his body was a deep green, usually kept wrapped around his body unless prey is immediately present for capture.
On the other hand, there was a shiny Oddish by the name of Ivy. She always believed that despite her size, she was the lead pokemon in her group of friends, and despite the warnings that they should stay away from Thorn's neck of the woods by their Gloom and Vileplume peers she was taking them right to his territory. The oddish at the rear of the group had a few splits in her leaves and called herself Lily, and the one clamped up in the middle of their group was an oddish that was more rounded Was known by his friend's as Birch. Still...being the only male with a pair of females meant he usually felt like the odd one, and being tubby didn't help his insecurity either.
Neither Lily, OR Birch really approved of Ivy's snobby attitude, but they didn't want to be left behind either. They've all known each other their whole lives and despite some of their misgivings, They've stuck up for one another when things got tough like true friends.
"Erm hey Ivy? Are you really sure we should be going into Thorn's territory? I mean you've heard the stories about him, he's not going to just LET us roam around his neck of the woods without paying the consequences." Birch asked as quietly so as to not alert the Victreebell that they were nearby and he had no intentions of becoming a meal to him either!
Ivy on the other hand usually got tired of Birch's whining, despite the Oddish's size he wasn't all that brave. And that led to the rest of the Oddish in their garden to tease and pick on him. Heck She figured...if Lily or herself hadn't stuck around Birch so much he'd probably have had all of his grass petals torn off. "Don't worry, If he shows up we'll run away okay? It's not like I want to fight him either okay?"
Little did the three companions know, that Thorn was already well aware of their tresspassing. And he was more than happy to show them their mistakes, his vine twitching in anticipation as he uncoiled it from his body. He was already getting into position and waiting for the trio to waddle far enough into his domain before he released a sweet scented smell in the air, one that was sure to attract any nearby grass types.
After a good bit of treking, Lily was the first to make a peep, sniffing at the air. "You know...I smell something really nice nearby. Maybe we can pick up some berries and make a little stew?"
"With what hands?" Ivy retorted back, but she did have to admit she could taste a rather sweet scent in the air. "But...what if it's some kind of trap? It could be some trainers trying to lure some pokemon out for capture."
Lily rolled her eyes, running ahead of Ivy as she started following the scent. "Trainers wouldn't come all this way in the thickness of the jungle just for little ol us."
Little did the young Oddish suspect, that the source of the scent was hidden by a large set of bushes, a few spots of yellow poking out in empty spaces. When she got too close however, a spray of stun spore was spewed into the air, paralyzing her and leaving the poor thing vulnerable. The next moment, a green thorny vine wrapped itself around Lily's form. Thorn poked his head out of the bushes to glance at his catch and huffed in dissapointment. "All I caught was a couple oddish? You'll hardly fill me up!"
Ivy and Birch rushed to meet their friend but was horrified to see THORN, and their pal now hovering just over the Victreebell's body, the yellow leaf lifting up to allow Lily's body to drop down. Making but a small bulge to traverse down the predatory pokemon's body, stopping at Thorn's midsection.
"H-hey! Spit our friend out right now!" Ivy demanded as she stamped her feet on the ground.
Thorn belched, the Victreebell spitting out a few bits of Lily's leaves on the ground. "She's in my belly now. Whatcha gonna do about it small fry?" He teased, moving the leaf on his head in a motion similar to someone licking their lips.
Thorn's taunting made it all the worse. Birch wanted nothing more than to run off and urged for Ivy to reconsider. "C-comeon we gotta run. We can't help Lily if we get eaten too!"
Hissing, Ivy tackled Birch to the ground then stood her ground at the looming Victreebell. "She's our friend though. We can't just run off without her."
"Mmmmm she was delicious." Thorn laughed, waving his vine infront of Ivy and poking Birch's gut. "But by all means friends don't leave friends behind. You should join her...in my stomach! Afterall heh heh, she won't be in there long."
Ivy grumbled, growling as she charged right at Thorn, tackling the Victreebell's stomach getting a surprised grunt out of the larger grass type. It was but a moment later that Thorn let loose another wave of stun spore, paralyzing poor Ivy in her place right infront of her predator.
And unfortunately for her, Thorn wasted no time in wrapping his vines around her legs and sweeping her off of the ground and dangling her upside down. "How nice of you to volunteer first! I'm sure your impending digestion will be much more barable with friends."
Ivy cringed, the shiny oddish staring upside down at her predator, slowly being overed over the leaf that concealed his drooling maw. "Y-you're just sick! I'll give you indigestion you big fat creep!"
Birch's eyes went wide, staring at Ivy as she was slowly lowered in, the leaf sliding away to reveal that hungry mouth. "S-stop! You can't eat her! Spit up my friends now!"
Stopping, Thorn kept Ivy's body just inches from his mouth, teeth scraping harmlessly against her. "How are you gonna stop me tubby? Once I'm done with this morsel I'll start on the main course."
With that, Thorn finished lowering Ivy into his chute like mouth to join her friend in his belly, for her it was a slow descent as she was surrounded by spongy pink flesh, she desperately kicked her legs at the walls to slow her descent, but inevitably she splashed into Thorn's belly, sitting alongside Lily in a pool of digestive acids that already began working to numb her body for digestion.
"BUWAAARP!" Thorn belched out, the leaf on his head blowing to the side as he did so. He gave his belly a few pats with his vine and stared down at Birch, a hungry and amused look on his face. "And then there was one. Any last words tubby?"
Birch shivered, staring at the thrashing bulges inside of Thorn's belly. At first he thought of running, but at his size he doubted he'd get very far. The only option he had left was to fight!
With that one thought in mind, and the knowledge that both his friends were already stewing inside of Thorn's belly he spat out a glob of acid in the larger grass pokemon's direction, it was a little disheartening when the Victreebell just swatted his acid bubble away with it's vine. But he took satisfaction when he heard a light sizzling sound coming from the apendage followed by the cringing expression of Thorn. "Hah! If you don't want any more then spit my friends up!"
Chuckling darkly, Thorn lashed his vine at Birch, leaving a thick hole in the ground as the tip started secreting acids. "I'm sorry, That was supposed to be a poison sting, not an acid attack." He taunted, green goo dripping from the tip of his vine. He shook the excess off before coiling it around Birch's huge body, making the Oddish's body wobble a bit from the sudden motion and gave him a firm squeeze.
"Hah! I have you now. Don't worry, you'll all be a part of me soon enough, and you can just talk and play in my belly until it's had it's use of you." Thorn added with a hint of amusement.
Birch grunted, kicking his legs about, trying to get the thorny vine to loosen it's hold over his body. He knew he wouldn't like what he'd find when Thorn had his way with him and spat another acid attack at him. This time it just fizzled out without having much effect to the grass type. "Please don't do this! We were just out exploring we don't want any trouble!"
Thorn smirked, lifting Birch up with slightly more effort than he had with Ivy or Lily. "Oh I know you don't want any trouble. But you see...I WANT food. While you and your friends have stumbled on me around my meal time. So if anybody is to blame, blame inconvenience."
With that said, Thorn wasted no more time in dropping Birch into his mouth. The large oddish's frame wiggling halfway inside of the Victreebell's maw. As if to add insult to injury, Thorn decided to take his sweet time in tasting and devouring his pudgy snack. He was getting his meat and vegitables in at the same time with this three course meal. And once he was done, he felt a satisfied weight in his stomach as the trio settled inside of him.
From inside, Ivy and Lily were wiggling underneath Birch, he was easily enough half the size of Thorn from the outside. And now he took up nearly the entirety of the Victreebell's stomach, leaving his two friends bathing in the acids while being smothered underneath him. The one silver lining to it all, was the fact that the acids numbed their bodies, rather than burning them.
Thorn's leaf blew in the air slightly as he released a great belch, Using his vine to rub over his now full thrashing belly he could make out three bulges within him. "Well...It'll take me awhile to break down those small fries...Was hoping for a Pidgeotto but maybe next time." He snickered, quickly moving into hiding within the thick bushes he used to ambush Lily and coiling his vine around his body as he had in the beginning. It would take him a bit to digest his meals. And right now all he wanted to do was take a nap. And that's JUST what he would do, he fell asleep promptly after a few more thrashes.
"Uhm...guys?" Ivy muttered, trying not to let the fear in her voice show. "I'm...sorry for getting us in this mess...I didn't think we'd get caught so easily!"
Lily kicked against her, though given the numbing agents of the Victreebell's stomach, neither pokemon felt it and to Birch it gave him a light tickling. "We don't blame you Ivy. If I hadn't run off for the first sweet smelling thing I caught a whiff of then you guys wouldn't have had to try and save me."
"It doesn't really matter at this point. All of us are plant food now. And he'll probably use our scents to lure in his next batch of unsuspecting victims..." Birch pointed out, sighing as the numbing agents started kicking in, leaving him unable to feel the acids as they began to work their way into him and his friends. The stomach letting out a low gurgling sound around them as it started churning them around like a piece of meat.
Ivy shivered, she couldn't feel anything but the idea that she would be digested and made to be mere fuel for the Victreebell made her sick to her stomach. Added to the fact that the stomach walls were churning and pressing her against her friends it didn't go too well. "We'll at least go as a group. We're friends till death and maybe we're more useful as lunch..."
When Ivy resigned herself it hit Lily that there really WAS no escape. At this point all they could do was wait for the inevitable. Thankfully the acids never burned and being a plant type none of them had any graphic digestion ahead of them. But the lack of oxygen in the stomach started making them lightheaded, and soon enough they passed out. Nothing but three meals sloshing about in the hot, gurgling stomach of the Victreebell.
The next day, Thorn's stomach was silent and back to it's normal shape, He'd effectively slept off his meals. He slowly uncoiled his vine from his body as he stretched out. One last belch escaped his maw and he caught a whiff of the scent in the air. "Mmmm heh that was a really good meal. I wonder what I'll catch this morning. OOH! Maybe more stray seeds will leave the pack." He laughed, bouncing forward, in search for his next prey, as for the three oddish, their story ends here.
