Bulked out the back of the paw a wee bit more and then used masking tape to make a pattern for cutting out the lycra. Since the paw is symmetrical I just made a pattern for one inner toe and one outer one; I'll flip them over for the opposite side.

Lycra has been cut (not shown). Does lycra have a 'right side' and a 'back'? I can't tell, suo it probably doesn't matter. :)
