Oh schnapz, furry art! Which I would take offense of were I not so weary. Before anyone decidedly goes off just fav'ing this because it's teh phurrae, I'll summarise the point of this pic.
Rather than making a background and randomly placing things in the foreground, I figured, why not have both in one go? Got the idea from Piet Mondrian's compositions, 'Composition with Red, Yellow, Blue and Black' in particular.
Because I have no mood or patience to deal with anymore unintelligent fallout from an already tiresome week, I'll go find something fun to do instead. Perhaps I can once again rag on furries raping Anubis, I always get the funniest hatemail from these guys. I'll do just that, with Osiris fronting the joke.
Right now some fanboy is cursing at the lack of nipples and titties. Well tough luck, ain't gonna happen. You just keep dreaming.

Elegant style, subtle coloring, and an alluring pose that compliments the facial features. Truly an impressive bit of work to accompany your other, more infamous pieces. This adds a bit of beautiful majesty to balance the hilarity that is caused by your protests against famous fetishes. I believe I have found another artist to admire for their ability and keen mind set. I tip my hat to you.
Then you're looking waaay too far.
Long story short, poser-weres adopt tribes from a RPG game as their core of their 'religion' and marks their characters with the tribal signs. Weres are also notoriously... what's the best word... celibate. Female weres have no gender definition, and they decry any tits on therians.
That marking? It's a stylised female logo (♀) with a crescent moon. My sass on a therian subrace proud and unashamed of their femininity.

Ah alright.

On the side.
Hm! Reminds me when I was overhearing people talking about some werewolf game, not apocolypse as far as I know.
They were talking about a roleplay they were running with an altruistic hero tribe, and attributing my interruptions and questions to the discordian villain tribe.
So their story had the heroes killing nearby tribes in order to carve themselves a reputation. Not to survive. Not for food. Not for defense. For pride.
End Ramble.
Aaaand thanks for the backstory on the marking.

Perhaps I'm jaded and picky, I dislike the term 'furry'. As someone coming from the year 2000, seeing the best and collapse of the fandom, I prefer to have nothing to do with the stigmata associated with that word.
Fuzzy or fluffy sounds cuter... God, did I just say that? I need more coffee and whiskey.

You rather have me curious- for while I've been watching 'furry' art since about 98 or 99, I really only managed to branch out of the yerf recents page around 01/02-- And personally, I think that the 'fandom' is growing in a good way- The artists as a collective are growing out of what was 'cool' and popular in the fandom, and turning to a more professional and Illustrative and/or fine arts approach. I can understand being jaded though- and I, for one, can appreciate the humor you put in your art. The world needs satire artists, too. =)
I'm just an old man longing for the old glory days. Too many newbies with ADHD these days.
It's great to know more people don't take this fandom too seriously and I hope you'll enjoy your stay as the occasional stab at the fandom rolls around. Some say it borders on insulting, but if Im gonna do something, might as well make an impact.

I agree with both of you. I think that furry (and yes, I dislike using that term too) is so big now that there's a lot of different "shades" to it. One can easily stick with the more professional/creative artists (e.g., Cara Mitten, oCeLoT, others) and ignore all the shite. I hear folks complaining about the fandom all the time, but I don't hang around chat rooms and I have probably around fifty total artists that I watch, and I get all the good I need out of that.
Funny, I thought immediately of Frank Loyd Wright's architectural work when I saw this. It doesn't seem quite neoplastic enough to make me instantly think of Mondrian. It has too much structure for that.
That's not why I fav'd it though. There's some techniucal aspects of your work that are quite pleasing to the eye...and that's what the Fav button is all about.

I hafto say I love the background. What inspired that look? And those flowers are very beautiful! Love this as a whole right down to the expression on her face

Personally, I try to distance myself from what makes the difference between general art and 'teh phurrae' doodles.
I will not deny that fluffy monsters, therians and hybrids are essential to games and comics, I just don't want any bad press from an ugly fandom following it because it has a tail and snout. I won't stop, but I'll make it sophisticated so it's not quickly stereotyped.

Ok since ya insist... I won't fav. it... even though I probably would've if ya hadn't gone off on such a tangent about it!...

Not everyone on this site is interested in T&A all the time, you know. I'm not watching you for the porn but rather for your excellent penmanship and dry sense of humor.
I know it's hard to hold out hope for a fandom such as this, but if you dig enough, you will find the diamonds that make this place worth it.

I usually don't get involved in these kind of arguments because I don't know of any fandom that I have done a job for that doesn't have its share of dorky-ass disgracefulness.
But from my experience the determination of me getting a job from any publisher has always been about the quality of my skill and not the content of my past work.
Hell last year I did too graphic novels of gay porn, as well as some equally disturbing Christian comic work. And to top it off I did some comic strips for an Indian newspaper that was published in California that taught the meanings of morality.
A job a job, I'm thankful just to be working in what I feel I'm truly good at. Besides, do you honestly think that all fuck-suck doodle's you use to draw are not what made you popular?
:Now for the significant response:
what's your method of scanning your pencils?
Every time I try to scan in my pencils I can never get the colors to pop like the original.
Excellent composition by the way, been a fan of your work for awhile now and this is the most recent penciled piece I've seen you do.
You've come a long way.
Though I have to say that doesn't look like a chick, just a very gay dude.

I must say it's nice to see a well done CLEAN pic of a furry femme; I actually grow tired of the smut thats out there because people lose the artistic value of the pose by makeing it that way.
Because of what you said earlier about things mocking the fandom I have to link to my upcomming comics: http://www.catgirlcomics.com
Kitsune is ment to mock the furry communities habit of overenhanceing, along with other furry and anime fandom things alike. Although they're going to be makeing fun of other things I hope to still have a decnt plot to them. :)
Also a small question: are you a were?

*Looks at the art for a few minutes, then rubs his eyes* Is it just me, or is there some quasi-3d / opitical illusion in that picture with all the lines and boxes?
I think that even if it was an adult picture, I wouldn't notice, because my eyes are pulled first to all the boxes. It actually distracts a little from the wolf. *Chuckles*
