A pretty usual scene in Valgraf´s world of origin. In the land of Jorntland, his people, the bear warrior-kinds called Beorn have been enemies of the trolls for generations. Usually, clash are produced between a few warriors and some lonely trolls which dare to go further from his lair, through the Beorn territory, but on very few occasions, a horde of trolls regroups and attacks the village, spreading carnage and destruction. The response is early sent, with a beat of angry warriors thirsty of vengeance who go quickly to the troll´s lair and the fight doesn´t stop until no one stay alive. Unfortunately for them, trolls have extraordinary skills for reproduction and recover their colony numbers, so clash between both nations never finish.
The troll´s design is (almost) an invention of mine. I wanted them to have a bestial primal aspect, suitable for a medieval world populated by furries. I also had the idea of giving them a black "fur" which lets them to camouflage themselve into the shadows (trolls always attack by night and retry to their lair at dawn), in order to give them a mistery and horror aura too. After all, superstition and fear to the unknown were common in Early Middle Ages.
