Another old failed story idea...



Many millenia ago a huge war raged over the planet (insert planet name here) and destroyed much of the planets surface. Peace came to avoid destroying the entire planet and at the same time new races had appeared on the planet. Some with high technology levels and others with almost no technology. This strange mix of races soon started causing problems and thus they split off the planet into separate parts giving each race their own continent. As time went by the wiser of the races set forth to build a giant continental ship, A space station that looked like a continent laying in the middle of the sea between the old continents of the planet. After thousands of years people had forgotten that this continent was a space station intended to save at least part of the planets population in the case of another war and the continent had become a place where people from all races lived and came to trade with each other. The peace continued for thousands of years until one day something happed. A meteor came smashing down on one of the many continents on the planet wiping out most of the inhabitants of that continent. The meteor had brought strange DNA strains with it and small bacteria. In the air on the planet these DNA strains and bacteria started to grow and evolve at a alarming rate. Strange bug like monsters spread like a plague killing and destroying the rest of the life on the continent. The people on the rest of the planet decided that they had to destroy the meteor and the strange monsters before they themselves where wiped out by the invaders. Huge armies was put together and sent to stop the invasion. The war raged for 500 years as the invaders had spread over the planet and at this time of need people where looking for a way to save at least part of the planets population when they found the lost space station still waiting to launch into space. It seemed as all was lost as the remaining armies where defending the central continent when a huge barrier slowly rose from the ocean around the continent and then the ground started to shake as the entire continent suddenly ripped free from the planet and flew out into space.

Three thousand years later a mysterious sickness had swept through the station wiping out many of it's inhabitants before it was stopped and a week later the leaders of the different races on the station where in a meeting when suddenly a bomb exploded, destroying the entire building and killing all of the leaders. War swept through the station and after three years the remaining population had split into gangs each controlling their own parts but still fighting for control over the station
