Been brewing this idea for a while now. A big cat that forms gaseous 'shadows' for camouflage along with blending with natural shadows.

Oooo looks awesome...reminds me of what might show up in Monster Hunter.
Can it like hide in the shadows to be undetected?

Similar to a Chameleos with it's smoke breath; it can hiss out shadows to keep it concealed. Luckly for it it's fur is a good tone for camouflaging in natural shadows!
Yea there are some Monster Hunter influences :)

That's awesome and scary, I can see this being either like a Nargacuga, Zinogre, or be the common monster, with an alpha version.
Imagine having little ones of these that are bullfango sized, and hide and wait for you to pass

A mix of both maybe; it isn't a flying wyvern, more of a fanged one. I can see it's cubs fleeing a good distance and tackle you like some of the zamies. They'll cling to you biting, scratching, and you need to roll to get them off. SO MANY CUBS +_+
