The color of Radar's eyes and markings are most similar to this stone, they change hue based on her mood, from purple to greenish to red, and are always multi-colored at any given time. Mother of pearl and opal also work. If you think of eyes as more gemlike in art, they will always have more sparkle, play of light reflection and depth, it is a very fun concept.
I figured I'd post some more of the gem theme, plus this character needs more finished art. I may be opening this half-body gem series up briefly as commissions if people are interested. :3

Argh. I hate when I hit enter after shifting the focus from the text window when I'm not done typing. I have to agree with c0sm0, she has a beautiful body. Very elegantly curved, not overly done at all. It's nice how even the bathing suit top echoes the qualities of the jewel in a subdued fashion. The eyes mirror the jewels in their luster. You have some really beautiful characters.
You always do have some of the best facial expressions/face shapes. And I like the idea behind using the same sort of design on eyes as you would gems, since it gives them much more depth and makes them far more attractive. The background makes me think of wind-swept silks, or just gentle winds themselves. Very calming and beautiful. <3
The details like the streaks in her hair and the colouring of the gems (and eyes) are simply fantastic. The colours themselves are great too. If I ever manage to get my shit together, you would, without a doubt, be the first person I'd want to commission; All of your art is so... awesome, for lack of a better word.
