July, 2015 was quite unique, in that it was a 'Blue Moon Month'. (In other words, it was a rare moment when July had two 'full moons': one on the 1st, and the other on the 31st.) The next time we'll have a 'Blue Moon Month' will be in 2018...
While rummaging through my cluttered condo, I came across another 'fat furry doodle' (drawn on the back of a flier distributed by the Florida Department of Transportation - during my tenure as a 'toll collector'), which I'd like to post, even though its subject matter is a little bit postponed...
In the past, I had presented 'fat furry' gags revolving around full moon months of Native American folklore. (In my 'Gallery' you might've seen my "Full Wolf Moon" and "Full Beaver Moon" images.) Well, as it turns out, July is another full moon month with an animal-related theme; namely, the "Full Buck Moon". And even though legend has it that this month really involves the growth of a male deer's antlers, I'd decided to depict the alternate growth of the buck's big beer belly! A (belated) "Happy Full Buck Moon" to one and all!
