In the classic spirit of retro sci fi - back in the days when the solar system swarmed with alien life and flying saucers - I bring you Ashlar, the Last Venusian.

Millions of years before man first landed on the moon, across the gulf of space, our sister planet Venus, the Morning Star, was home to a highly advanced civilization. However unlike the Earth, it was not the fauna that had risen to dominate the world, but instead the flora. The Venusians were in fact highly intelligent mobile plants.

It is unknown what truly befell the once fertile planet, but it is theorized that a global nuclear war broke out, whipping Venus clear of life. However before this apocalypse befell the planet, one of the Venusians managed to escape. He traveled to the young blue world of earth, where he crash landed in the south pole. Preserved in ice he remained there for over 27000 years.
