Stern. Nurturing. "Unorthodox": True Facts About Hilde
A particularly prominent figure in the Felton Underground's extranatural community is Hilde Alfhild Johnston. A Norwegian Jötnar Troll, she stands out: Almost seven-feet tall and built like a warrior woman, heavily tattooed and pierced (though many of those additions are hidden by clothes), horned, tusked and tailed, even with heavy coverings and disguise, she's fairly noticeable wherever she goes… And taking trips up to Felton's surface are a hassle, if not hazardous for various reasons.
Not that means Hilde is hiding in some hole and keeping to herself. Mrs. Johnston is actually a very prominent figure in the Felton extranatural community: She's the current Superintendent of the Felton Sub-Community Educational System, presiding over the affairs of the F.S.C.'s Educational Annex, Community College, and Book Repository - all of which is located about two miles away from the waterfront in an old mining complex that town records have conveniently forgotten (with help from the Supernatural Response, Research and Relations Agency, or S.3.R.A.). In addition to the administrative duties that position entails, she is also a teacher, acting as a general educator for grade school children. She's known for coming off as intimidating, and she doesn't take kindly to classroom disruptions or students not applying themselves - but she is also known to be dedicated to the youngsters in her classes: She makes the time to help any child that comes to her with a problem (academic or personal), and she strives to provide an interactive, interesting experience for the kids in the courses she provides.
Needless to say, Hilde has a very busy working life - but not perhaps not nearly as busy as her family life; after all, Trolls are known for very large families, and Hilde is no exception. She's the head of her household, and altogether she has five spouses - two husbands (her Brother-Husband Rolf and human husband Holt), and three wives (her Sister-Wife Kjellfrid, a Swedish Troll named Svetlana and a Gug called Oo-nhak, or Oonie for those who have trouble with Gug-speak). Between them they have twelve children, including two adopted children, Sigfried, 19-year-old Frost Troll, and Susanna, 16-year-old Werebear. Their younger children include 15-year-old twin half-humans, Wilma and Andy, little Loor-Chah (Loo), a half-Gug toddler at just 3-years-old, and seven lovely Troll children ranging from 12 to 3 years of age, the youngest being Hilde's little sweetheart, Ingvar. The little fellow is actually the only child that Hilde herself has carried - but not the only child she's had with all her spouses, as Hilde is something known as, within the Troll community, as a Father-Mother; a fully functional Hermaphrodite, capable of both siring and bearing children. To be sure - Hilde knows how to keep her spouses thoroughly satisfied as both a man and a woman. After all, they wouldn't have quite so many children if she didn't.
Now, some might look on the Johnston family - and Hilde herself - are strange and deeply outside the norm… Well, they are right and wrong; polyamory and polygamy and such a mixed family are unusual by human standards - and tattoos and piercings (and women with extra endowments) are fair astray of what people think of as ideal for a teacher … But for Hilde, the body modification and the large, complex family, it's all part of her traditions, her culture. She stands out from the norm for Trolls as well, though: It's not common for Trolls to marry or adopt outside their own people; their large families are usually made up of incestuous sexual and married pairings, with additional outside breeding pairings made up of other Trolls. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, Norwegian Jötnar Trolls are one of the varieties that turn into stone in daylight.
Now, the traditional workaround for that for a Troll is to eat a human heart every month. Hilde used to do this as a younger woman, but times change: S.3.R.A. makes special enzymatic supplements that prevent it, but it's not quite so effective; her joints get stiff and her skin itches when she has to go to the surface during daylight for any reason. Many Trolls might continue to choose the more effective method… And Hilde often misses going out into the sun without that kind of discomfort. But she won't jeopardize her position in the community and the well-being of her family for that desire. That's a major reason she's in the M.E.A.
Well, that and she enjoys the company - lots of unusual, exotic folks there… And who knows - maybe she'll find another Mr. or Mrs. Johnston there - or at least someone who'd be interested in sampling some Trollish affections.

KawaiiJumi, and Hilde came out absolutely fantastic. It took a little doing and back and forth between me and Kawaii for her to get Hilde worked out, but she looks positively gorgeous. It has me yearning to get even more art of her, showing even more of her details... And you can safely assume that I have plans or it.
It took me a while longer to get Hilde up because I kind of kept floundering on her True Facts, how to word them, where to apply focus... Not sure how I feel about what I have written, honestly - I didn't want to bog it down, but I still wanted to convey a good bit of information... Eh, well, at least I have her head shot up now - that's what matters, I suppose. Doubt too many people are actually reading the True Facts info anyway, but at least it helps me work stuff out on the characters. Good times.
