Urban exploring is my favorite thing to do. The dangerous part is that every road leads to another...and before you know it you're many miles from home (in a car at least). It's very addictive.
I love the atmosphere of this. Upper class neighborhood in mid afternoon, at first impression.
Trust me, as a someone who lives in the mountains always take the roads that go up...at the highest points are literal modern castles.
Guess the rich like to feel above it all heh.

Looked it up...eerie. Reminds me a little of some strange feature I scrounged off Yahoo! recently. A small party decided to explore an abandoned nuclear missile silo in Colorado.
They found a lot of graffiti on the upper levels, and a lot of rust, rot and flooding far below. Sometimes exploration not only reveals a locale but allows us to take the very pulse of time.
I guess that sounds melodramatic lol. I have a penchant for that crap. Currently I drive bread, and though I go to the same places over and over I see how they change day to day. It's about as spooky as Kirkbride, if you let yourself appreciate the shift and give things a little thought.
Wasted and rambling, sorry. Anyway, think it's a wonderful commission. Never stop exploring.
