A commission for 
buck-aye, who has the coolest name ever!
I had to make a few custom brushes to paint all the foliage in this piece, but I'm really happy I did! Custom brushes were a blast to use, and really sped the process up! Mainly just for all the plant life around, but also for some of the details.
The plants in the field are specifically kudzu, which I had to look up before I painted this >_>
I'll be using textures much more thoughtfully in the future! I think I'm going to pick up an acrylics painting book and try to make brushes that mimic the effects you'd get by painting traditionally. Sponges and brushes and knives and the like.
