Well, one does say you have five fingers. Each finger has their own name. Like ring finger, thumb, pinky, middle finger and so on...

Like when you count your fingers, you get 10, not 8. Which means you include thumbs. So please, don't be silly.

We have five digits, to say we have five fingers is ignorant. You're right, each finger has their own name, ring finger, index finger, pinky finger. But a thumb is a thumb.

It has a different set of joints, it's opposable, it has different proportions to fingers and it's positioned differently on the hand. If it was the same as fingers, we'de be sharing the same spot as every primate that doesn't have an opposable thumb.

I wasn't being silly, simply using a lower-brow comment as a stepping-stool incase I needed to step this arguement up. And I reiterate, we count 10 digits.

I like your art, and this piece is serving you well as a new addition. I can tell you took a damn long time, and regardless of how you define the various aspects, I can tell you put a lot of thought into the fine details, the structure and the layout of the piece.

You've managed to give her a wonderful expression, and a delightful set of jewellery, especially the dangle along her parting. Her proportions are believable, and stable, and her angle is well balanced.

Being anatomically correct isn't important with original characters, it was just something I noticed. Sorry for causing hassle.

Well, I didn't want it to look like the only reason I look at your art (or anyone else's for that matter) is to nit-pick on the details.

Not to be a pest or anything... I mean after all this is just semantics. It means Nothing. But..since this is a work of Art..[and a rather lovely piece at that] Why not just assume that her Race calls the Thumb a Finger. Or whatever else that comes to mind.

Love the details you threw into the whole picture and the clothing design makes me drool.

My eyes fell directly on the four-fingered hands which instantly reminded me of Elfquest as you tell the one above me to think about. Love the usage of the idea as it makes any non-Elfquest elf rather unique in its own way.

The bridge came out beautiful and the little statue makes me giggle; somehow it looks out of place, yet it still fits.
