i have to keep moving forward..
i can't cling to my past..
i can't let my inner demons consume me..
i have to slap a smile on and pretend i'm okay..
i have to pretend the words you say don't hurt me..
i have to pretend that it doesn't phase me when you're cold..
i have to hold my head up and stand on my own two feet..
i have to keep taking every hit like i'm not already falling..
i have to keep my focus when i can't even think..
i have to stay silent when my thoughts are screaming..
i have to keep a grip when i feel like letting go..
i have to stay strong when i am weak..

because although it hurts.. i am not the only one hurting in this life.. and i have to do my best to help others stay strong too.

i won't give up..
