I know in the way we catagorize rank we would call someone that high on it an Admiral in the Navy. For the sake of the story though, I kept the term because it's the profile that the in-story characters have set up. There's the King, and the "Seven Dragon Generals" he appointed to take care of specific duties. So it does take a little suspension of disbelief to seperate the story from IRL.

well either way, i hope this comic will have a different ending than Long and Qiao fuck Gorgon and then let them be on their way in a life boat.

i'd rather have it if Gorgon was offered a job. i'm a sure a captain with his reputation would be a powerful asset to have in the Valden navy

especially considering the soon to come arms race when the word about Valden's terrible new weaponry spreads to other nations, especially their rivals...

I think General is the term used for Land Armies and Air Forces, not Naval Forces within a military. So "making Admiral" one day I think would be what Qiáo is aiming for.

As for Qiáo? Hasty may be right, but I think there are times when haste is required, of which this situation I doubt was one of them.
