Just a super-amazing story I wrote for
Torch-the-Dragon as part of a little trade, me writing a story for one of his pics (the blue-jay story I did a while ago) and he in return drew a pic for me and I just love it. Thank you so much.
Also, wrote a story to this pic here as well.
Raptized Dragon
The blue dragon jogged deeper into the woods, holding the vial safely in his hand, the pink liquid sloshing around slowly with each step he took. He wanted to try this out without any onlookers, just for himself. Even though one of his best friends would be quite pissed that he would try it alone, but he needed to make sure that he would not harm anyone.
After nearly half an hour of jogging into the woods as deep as possible, he reached a little clearing, barely lit up by the sun, only a few beams of light hitting the ground.
Matt looked around, making sure again that nobody followed him, before he had a look at the vial again. He stirred the liquid with a color of molten bubblegum, making it glow a little bit.
Today he finally could try this out, a thing he had wanted to do for a long time. He got the vial from a friend, who claimed that it could truly transform his body into another form, he had always wanted to try out at least one. But these potions were so daaaamn expensive and hard to get, costing over 10 grands of gold at the local alchemy store.
How his friend got hand of this one here he did not know, he didn't even wanted to know, he just wanted to try it out now.
The blue dragon grabbed the cork with his claws gently and opened it, sniffing briefly at the potion. He could sense the scent the blueberries, strawberries and lots of other fruits, but somehow he doubted they were real ingredients, and probably more for overcasting the taste of the other stuff that was put into it.
He brought the tip of the vial to his muzzle and slowly let the liquid enter his mouth, taking three medium-sized gulps. He was told that the more you drank of such a potion, the longer it lasted, but it depended also on the individual how long the potion would last. He hoped that it would at least make him a raptor for three days.
He pushed the cork back into the vial, sealing it and placed it carefully on the ground, making sure to not break it and spill the rest of the potion, he did not want to transform any ants around him into a raptor.
He stepped back and waited for the potion to start, taking deep breaths to concentrate on where the change would start.
He did not had to wait for long.
A mist of similar color like the potion started appearing around him, followed by a second mist of a color like his own scales, but they did not mix somehow. The mists drew closer and he felt warmer and warmer the closer it got.
Then it started, in his wings to be exact. It felt a bit like a cramp as his wings started to shrink. This was the only drawback of this form, but it surely would be worth to experience this body.
His wings kept shrinking slowly, tissue disappearing as they two limbs slowly disappeared into his back. Matt clenched his fists the whole time, even though it did not really hurt, but loosing two limbs even with magic was everything but pleasurable.
The next things to disappear where his horns, a throbbing feeling pulsing through his head as the sank back into his head, together with his ears. His ears were now only two little ear-holes at the side, but the place where his horns where did not stay empty for long, as the keratin there quickly rearranged itself and a tickling feeling indicated the next step as feathers of several shades of blue started to grow on the top of his head.
Then the tickle appeared at a place Matt was not expecting, as the light-blue stripe near his tailtip disappeared, only to be replaced by more feathers all over his tailtip.
The mists drew closer and closer now, forming a wall around him, accelerating the change.
He could feel now bones in his body heating up, unpleasant a bit but not painful, as some grew longer, some shorter, many of them rearranging themselves as his body slowly became more feralish.
As his legs started to throb, his stance shifted a bit, making him lean forward at the same time his tail started to grow too. Instead of simply hanging above his buttocks, his tail grew so enormous that it fused with his abdomen. He clawed at the grass beneath him as the changes spread all over his body now, his new muscles throbbing, warming, sometimes spasming a bit as new tissue grew and nerves connected. His toes shifted, his two largest toes growing even larger as the two become the main weapons of a raptor.
Matt started to pant a bit as the heat kept spreading upwards, his chest and arms prickling all over as the mist nearly touched his scales. His arms did not change that much, only his claws growing larger, more deadly, perfectly for a raptor.
His heart kept throbbing harder in his chest as more and more blood was pumped through his growing body.
As a final step his head shifted slowly, his muzzle growing pointier and his already sharp teeth even sharper, the few molars he had quickly replaced by pointy fangs.
He could hear his bones now grinding against each other as the changed shape, making him close his eyes as the mist finally touched down on him, his body briefly feeling as if he was on fire, but only for the fraction of a second.
He hissed out in shock as the last few changes settled in and the particles of the two mists started to dissipate. The new raptor brought one of his reshaped hands to his muzzle and rubbed gently over his, a big grin appearing on his lips. Another brush over his head assured him he had a nice feathery
crest now on top of his head, hopefully showing off his moods.
He flexed his now much longer and powerful tail and joyfully saw the new pattern there, a softer blue shade running down his spin, many spines of the color running down the side of his body like ribs. A similar thing could be seen now on his bulky thighs, here the sky-blue forming a similar pattern.
He clenched his fists and lifted his muzzle to let out a triumphant roar. His body felt so amazing, to powerful, so full of energy, like he could, no, had to run for days without end, running after his prey. The thought of prey excited the blue raptor, as the new instincts set into place in his partially rewired brain. But he was still in control, still himself. The instincts guided him, not controlled him. This would be so much fun.
As he lowered his muzzle and the mist particles started to drift away, his blue eyes met the golden one of his friend Whippet, a blank stare on his face as he watched him.
The raptor was baffled as the golden dragon stared at him with open muzzle, looking nearly as baffled as the raptor himself.
"Whip....how long...how long have you been watching?" Matt finally said, his voice having now a more hissing undertone.
"Long enough to be quite pissed that you did not invite me to take part of this." the golden dragon replied.
He looked at the vial in front of the blue raptor, a big grin appearing on his muzzle.
"Maybe we should discuss this from raptor to raptor, my friend."
