Astor would be the closest living thing to being evidence of "gods". But is actually an alien species that floats around in the infinite space. He only opens his maw to absorb smidgens of energy from stars that he passes by. Otherwise he speaks through telepathy. And those who hear his voice claim his "voice" is a soft, echoed whisper. When standing near Astor, wind no longer takes effect for a large radius around him. Sound also tends to be a bit muffled, and at times gravity tends to be a bit "buggy". But of course it's merely a temporary effect and everything resumes normally if he leaves the area. Though he should not be touched in cold climates, in warmer areas he is chilled to the touch. A description of the texture of his body is difficult. He feels both soft, as well as if he were nothing at all. The smokes or whisps of dust coming off of his body are the stuff that begins nebulas.
Astrid is of a similar creature. But at one point she was a normal Earth creature. Due to an accident, Astor had attempted to save her life and ended up somehow mutating her into something similar. Though for the most part, she is solid. Though the tip of her tail and the longer strands of her hair seem to create the same whispy effects that Astor gives off. Astrid gives off similar effects that Astor does, except it only happens when she is in a small room. When out in the open, the only thing is effected is her own gravity.
So, I haven't come up with characters with backstories like these for the longest time. 8D
But anywho, Astor's species doesn't really have a name(I haven't really thought of one yet). But they're generally considered Star Eaters because they do eat stars in a way. To other sentient space travelers, they are generally blamed for the death of stars. While the energy they take is very similar to absorbing UV rays into a solar panel. They are blamed mainly due to the scarcity of their species. It takes many years for them to create an "egg". Their general appearance is that of an avian like creature. At least facial wise. Astor and his owl-looking companion are the only recorded "star eaters" in existence at this point, though they have hinted at others.
WELL THAT'S A LOT OF INFO. SORRY.
