All of us at CWDTP were hopeful to provide handouts to as many people as possible about our cause. The VIPs were no exception.
What you see here was Matthew Palumbo's first meetup with a VIP, Ms. Amy Keating Rogers. It was our hope to have her speak at our panel this year on behalf of a mother who is positively raising a child with special needs. However, this did not happen. She was most definitely there in spirit, though.
How do we know she has a child with special needs? The answer somes from the following bit of information.
THE LAST ROUNDUP DERPY SCENE:

This is both versions of the episode from Season 2, "The Last Roundup". The first part shows what originally aired with the second part showing what now airs today on TV, NetFlix, and any DVD, with the exception of the DVD entitled "The Friendship Express".
As a bonus, the link below is the writer, Amy Keating Rogers', response to the Derpy issue.

Matthew's time with Amy was spent complimenting her on how she dealt with the situation regarding "The Last Roundup" while discussing how he gathered she was a great mother to a son who had much potential despite his particular limitations. It was for this reason that Matthew chose the image done by Ari of Snowdrop and Primrose of "Snowdrop" for her to sign. Matthew explained, "The image shows how the mom is aiding her blind daughter in understanding the world through explaining what she's feeling."
It's amazing how far good parenting can go towards aiding those children born with special needs.

She not only signed your work, but also has a very professionally laminated copy of the exact image. It is so well laminated that one would have to genuinely wish to destroy it to ruin the image.
Amy also got a copy of our book. Not a dual-signed one, but one I wrote her a personal message on prior to heading to BronyCon. In our brief talk, I told her how you did the illustrations for the book and for the one I gave to her to sign. We also took a moment to look at the image you drew and discuss the meaning based on how we all know she has a child with special needs and how it your work illustrates good parenting. :)
Meredith Sims, voice of Snowdrop, also has a copy of this piece, too. I made an extra laminated version for her. She told me how she recalled seeing it before when I posted on her Facebook wall. She was happy to receive it while noting how "Twinkle Morningdew" definitely had your style on it. Twinkle was also a book I wrote a personalized message within prior to the Con. :)
Good times!

Amy Keating Rogers is a wonderful person. She really does appreciate being seen as a mother who is caring instead of a writer who took a lot of unnecessary abuse from people for doing what she was told by her employer.
Too often it seems people forget that a genuine human with feelings exists behind the work they do. It's so wrong how judgmental, accusing, or presumptuous people can get. Hiding behind text to spread their hateful ignorance is even worse.
When you see Amy let her know how she's a great person while wishing her luck in her move to Disney. :)
