The extra cut scene from doing the DLC first before fighting Sif only makes it sadder. :/ there actually was a glitch that allowed you to take the item and leave without killing him that got patched.

This makes me so sad, I literally cried through the whole Sif fight because I so badly didn't want to hurt him!

I wasn't really sad during it all, but it was certainly a very memorable moment from the game, one of many.

I'm really hoping they can revive some of that in DS3.

I agree, though some fights in Bloodborne were certainly very close to the same feeling as Dark Souls bosses. Just a shame the PVP wasn't better.

The only fight NOT made easy with a spear, and such a sad fight. When low on health he even limps and seems desperate in his attacks. The bonus scene if you have done the DLC first and saved him there just makes it sadder, he doesn't want to hurt you but cannot let anyone desecrate his master's tomb, much as he feels indebted to you.
