Cullen swung his sword aggressively, repeatedly striking the practice target as a snarl tugged at his lip.
She was beyond his protection and he'd sent her there, to Corypheus.
It was all he could do to distract himself from the gut-wrenching worry that tore at his insides, threatening to do him in.
Over the strained grunts from his blows he made out the sound of swiftly approaching footsteps.
He'd barely a chance to turn when the Inquisitor collided with him, her arms swiftly flying around his neck as she buried her face against him.
"We did it. We won."
Cullen didn't hesitate, throwing his sore arms around her and squeezing her tightly to him as he grinned.
He didn't care that everyone could see them. She was home at last, safe and in his arms.
Maker, he couldn't be happier.

To be honest when I first played DAI I only romanced Cullen because I thought him the most attractive option (kinda shallow, I know). And though I hated he wasn't a companion the amount of. ..of feeling they put into his romance scenes just left me giddy. Alistair did that for me in DAO, too. Haha~

I know just what you mean, hun. From the second I saw Cullen, I literally said out loud 'Oh I'm making you mine' with a grin. Now, every single playthrough I start to romance someone new I still waggle my eyebrows at him and can't help wanting to romance him, though I've been good enough to give the others a chance. It's fun to see who 'gives it up' the quickest of your inner circle. ;D
This current playthrough I'm aiming for Sera, so I'm being a completely uninterested b*tch towards Cullen, not that you really get mean options. <_<
Also, Alistair was totally my original love in the series for sure. Young lil me, circa 2009, was blown away with how genuinely mushy you could end up over a video game character. Bless Bioware, haha!
