Man, this is really making me want to dig my Marines back out. I had set up a warband of rat marines but I have a force based off Egyptology much the same as you did with this one. I really like what you've done with it though, the theme definitely works.

Well I've always been a mythology buff in general anyway, so I can appreciate a clever application thereof. Also I like taurs, so I'm biased. :P

That said, I'm really waiting around to see what FW releases for the 1KS before I move more heavily forward with that. I'm still really leery to buy anything GW though...it's been years since I did and their prices have only gotten more extreme since then. Unfortunately, while there are 20% off retail price stores you can get GW stuff from, I don't know of any such workaround for FW.

I did want to ask on your backstory though...since your Marines didn't have any ships for a while, how were they getting from place to place?

Oh, they have ships, just not really much of a navy. They've got some thunderhawks and two or three cruisers, but no barges.

Well I was going to say I was referring to this part: "and no navy or armored company to speak of, only a handful of cruisers and tanks" but then I actually read the part I was referring to. Derp. Reading is hard.

That's also my explanation as to why their chapter master, Xochipilli, had to an hero himself on Tenochtitlan :3 They can't enact Exterminatus, and they can't just call in the Grey Knights to magically sort their problems out :V
